Amber's Story (aged 21)

When I began seeing Carol May I was experiencing a lot of pain from endometriosis. My immune system was very weak and over the year I had suffered a lot of illness from being run down. I had constant water infections, a mouth full of ulcers and I was extremely tired all the time. Things were so bad that it got to the point where I had to give up my job due to the constant pain and illness from my condition (endometriosis). I was under the hospital and was told that in order to be pain free I would have to face surgery and have a nerve severed that was connected to my womb and start a course of hormone therapy to induce early menopause; I was only 20 years of age and hoped one day to have a family. I felt so depressed.

Carol started by strengthening my immune system with natural supplements; to help combat the illness and tiredness. She used various treatments to help with the pain including reflexology and aromatherapy back massage. I found the treatments really helped me to cope. Once my health and immune system started to improve she included further nutritional therapy to help with the pain from the endometriosis.

My health has improved immensely since I’ve been seeing Carol and I’m always grateful to have found her. The pain is now nowhere near as severe. I no longer get mouth ulcers or water infections. I have loads more energy and have begun training for a new career. I feel that I can now cope with my condition a lot better and lead a normal life. Fred's Story

My name is Fred and I am a client of Carol May. First I would like to tell you a bit about my medical history.

It all started at the beginning of 2002 when I was getting pain in my back, hips and knees. By the end of that year the pain had gone to my shoulders, down my arms and into my elbows and wrists. At this point, I also noticed that my left testicle kept disappearing. I went to see my GP who sent me to the hospital for blood tests and a scan on my testicles.

2003 and back to my GP for the results of my tests. He told me that my problems were due to fluid in my joints which could turn into Arthritis. The only course of treatment was to have steroid injections and pain killers. As for the testicles, well, it was due to my age. I was only 54 at the time. I have to tell you now that I refused the injections.

One day my wife Maureen was reading an article about reflexology by Carol May in our local newspaper ‘The Sentinel’. She suggested I give it a try to which I replied “I’m not wasting my money because I have been told that there is nothing that can be done”! But my condition was getting worse so I said I would give it a try.

I booked an appointment to see Carol and I was very skeptical and did not believe that she could help me. How wrong I was.

I had a body massage using oils on my back and joints and if you have never had this done I can’t quite explain how good it feels. She also did reflexology on my feet. Oh, what a feeling! She recommended which herbal tablets to take also, but then she said something that made me realise that I hadn’t wasted my money at all. She told me that I had a blocked testicle. The left one. She said she could unblock it and she did.

That was three years ago and I can tell you now that I have not taken a single pain killer since then. I still go to Carol once a month because it makes me feel so good.

I have been an ME/CFS sufferer since 1989. Over the years I have had regained my health and then have fallen into many severe relapses, which have lasted for months and devastated my life.
